Simple Water 2D
Create GameObject → DiffusionWorks → Ultimate Water System 2D → Simple Water 2D for a custom filled shape with Bézier edges and water appearance.
Shape editing
- Click a point to select it and expose its Bézier handles.
- Double-click an edge to insert a point.
- Shift-click a point to remove it.
- Use Reset Rectangle, Add Point, Remove Last Point, or Rebuild Mesh from the Inspector as needed. Keep at least three polygon points.
- Horizontal Resolution adds detail across horizontal edges; Curve Quality adds samples along curved edges.
Appearance and waves
Configure base fill, surface pattern, perspective projection, reflection, and sorting in the Inspector. Enable Top Wave and/or Bottom Wave, then set each side’s amplitude, frequency, speed/direction, and affected amount. Negative speed reverses direction; affected amount controls how far the wave reaches inward from that side.
Save the result as a Simple Water Preset to reuse the shape and appearance. Reflection capture controls include the layer/sorting filters and quality/update options described earlier; Sprite Reflection markers provide per-object reflection placement.
Note: Simple Water is currently a visual authoring workflow. Its polygon is not yet a WaterSensor2D-compatible gameplay surface. Gameplay interactions are planned for an upcoming update; use the main water workflow when you need the built-in interactive water volume today.
