Floating Props

Use Floating Props for individually placed texture decorations such as lily pads or floating signs. Add a prop entry, assign its texture, and set its local surface position, size, rotation, color, and active state. The prop positions are local X/Z coordinates on the surface.

Each prop can follow the water, stay above nearby peaks, drift under ripple/current forces, tilt as a rigid piece, or deform a subdivided mesh to match ripples. Mesh deformation takes precedence over rigid tilt. More subdivisions improve bending at a higher cost.

Use Surface Offset and Ripple Clearance to reduce clipping. Peak Sample Radius controls the footprint checked for high points. Drift strength and friction control movement when React To Ripple Forces is enabled. Despite that label, the described drift includes sampled current as well as ripple forces.

These are rendered texture props, not standalone physics bodies or rideable platforms. Choose Buoyancy 2D or Floating Platform 2D when collision and object movement are needed.
